Jake Rigdon, Christy Goodman and Karen Carier recently assembled donation boxes for the Birthday Blessings Gifting Hope Campaign.

The Missouri nonprofit supports nearly 130 foster kids in Pettis and Cooper Counties. The organization’s goal is to collect 1000 needed items during the month of July.

The organization can use any new and unopened gift items for ages 1-18, but is most in need of sports balls, Legos, baby toys, toddler toys, fishing poles and tackle, craft kits for teens, and character backpacks for children under age 10.

There are collection boxes in Sedalia at Life Pointe Church, Abundant Harvest Church, St. Vincent de Paul Parrish, 18th Circuit Children’s Division, First Christian Church, Christ & Trinity Lutheran Church, Encounter Church, Broadway Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church, Hopewell Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, Bethlehem Baptist Church, and Rick Ball Ford.

Monetary donations to purchase needed items can be made on their website at birthday-blessings.org. There is an Amazon wish list pinned on their Facebook page. Purchases will be directly shipped to their main building at 603 Oregon St., West Plains Mo., 65775. Call (417) 372-5306 for more information.
