The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri, Inc., is thinking ahead to fall: enrollment is now open for the Club’s afterschool programs for the school year.

“Summer Program enrollment was at an all-time high and we’re expecting to see similar numbers for the school year,” said Director of Operations Tyler Hudson. “We’re excited to get back to school and roll out new learning programs for our members, including a revamped Power Hour homework help program and more of member favorites such as cooking and hands-on STEM activities.”

Parents must fill out a new membership packet for their child, even if they attended Club last year or during the summer. An online packet is available at bgckids.com/school-year-membership or paper packets are available at the Admin Office or any of the schools Boys & Girls Club serves. Staff will also be at all Open House nights to answer any questions parents may have.

Afterschool programs include a snack, homework help and variety of hands-on learning programs, including STEM, arts, coding, cooking, outside play, healthy lifestyles programs and more.

Club Sites in Sedalia, Cole Camp, Dresden, Leeton and Smithton Boys & Girls Club are open immediately afterschool until 6:30 p.m. The Green Ridge Site will be open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and immediately afterschool until 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The La Monte Site will not be open on Mondays. Cost is $5 per day or $20 for the week. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
