A 22-year old woman from California, MO was recently arrested in Moniteau County for the theft of a motor vehicle.

A press release from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department indicates that on September 14, deputies responded to a residence on Bird Haven Road near Centertown for a report of a vehicle theft.

Victims stated that a female suspect had come to the residence and proceeded to drive away with the vehicle. Authorities began to patrol the area and a short time later, dispatch advised of a suspicious person near a gas station in High Point, MO.

Upon arrival, deputies noticed a car parked near the store that matched the description of the one stolen from Bird Haven Road.

Deputies confirmed it was the same vehicle and arrested the suspect, Emily A. Eads, in the store. Eads reportedly admitted to stealing the car.

Eads was given a bond of $25,000.
