Songs being recorded by multiple artists is not new. "Ol' Red" was recorded by George Jones and Kenny Rogers before Blake Shelton put his spin on it and made it a hit. "I Do (Cherish You)" was a hit for Mark Wills on the country chart and 98 Degrees on the Top 40 charts. Now we have three different versions of "Wagon Wheel" floating around.

Family Pawn of Sedalia was once again kind enough to donate a guitar for me to take to Memphis on my trip to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Lots of country stars were kind enough to sign the guitar for us. We will auction the guitar to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at the 'Thom Shepherd & Friends' show at Dukes & Boots on Jan. 30.
It's no surprise that Congress' approval numbers have dropped significantly since the fiscal cliff debacle. But what's surprising is exactly how unpopular the legislative body has become. The Locash Cowboys put on a great show this past Saturday night (Dec. 15) at the Liberty Center. Part of the night's festivities was a silent auction, which included a couple of LoCash autographed guitars. The proceeds went to the Sedalia Lions Club Coats and Shoes program.
