Flood Watch Issued For West Central Missouri

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for our area from midnight through Thursday evening. Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected over the region tonight and Wednesday. These storms may repeatedly impact the same areas with total two inches of rain expected across the region

KCP&L and Central Missouri Electric Co-op Provide Update on Power Outage Progress

Weary crews from Central Missouri Electric Cooperative are making great strides toward ending outages caused by heavy snow from Winter Storm Rocky. At the peak of the outage situation, approximately two-thirds of the cooperative’s 10,400 meters were without power.  As of Thursday morning, Feb. 28, that number had shrunk to 500.

Winter Storm Rocky is a Shining Example of Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Winter Storm Rocky may be out of the area, but it has caused a lot of havoc in Sedalia. The Central Missouri Coop had over 3,000 customers without power.  KCP&L had about 700 customers without power in Pettis County and thousands more across the region. The Missouri Department of Transportation has not had very much downtime since Winter Storm Q from last week, and they continue to try and keep Highways 13, 50, 65 and 70 open as best they can.
