Charles Joseph Schader, 73, of Sedalia, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home, Sedalia.  He was born on August 17, 1941, on the family farm in Bahner, a son of Joseph F. and Ida Theresia (Reusch) Schader.

He was a life-long member of St. John's Catholic Church, Bahner and attended school at Bahner. On July 13, 1963, at St. John's Catholic Church, Bahner, he was united in marriage to Helen Louise Caton.

When he was a young man, Charles farmed and later worked for Shyrackwright in Sedalia delivering groceries.  He went back to farming and cut firewood and cedar.  He enjoyed farming and deer hunting.

He is survived by:  his daughter, Luesa Fethke and Greg of Florence;
his son, Bill Schader of Sedalia;
his sister, Mary Ann Zimmerschied and her husband Ralph of Sedalia;
his brother, Edward Schader and his wife Mel of Mora;
his grandson, Dustin Wolfe of Smithton;
his nephew Matt Chmelir;
his niece Ann Moyer and her husband David; and
three great-nephews, Andrew Martinez, Quinn Moyer, and Truman Moyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ida Schader, two sisters, Catherine Schader and Margaret Schader, and one brother, Fred Eugene Schader.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015, at St. John's Catholic Church, Bahner, with Father Mark Miller officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Bahner.

The prayer vigil with scripture reading will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp, with visitation to follow.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to St. John's Catholic Church or Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be Bill Schader, Matt Chmelir, Brian Amos, Troy Brown, Greg Fethke, and Chris Newell.
