Chris C. Woolery, 99

Chris C. Woolery, 99, of Sedalia passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at his home. He was born on June 29, 1915 in Carmen, OK a son of Charles and Mary (Fisher) Woolery.

On July 15, 1939 in Warsaw, MO, he was united in marriage to Mary Butterbaugh, who preceded him in death on March 10, 1997.

He was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, Sedalia.  Chris loved fishing, gardening and woodworking.

He is survived by four children, Marjorie VanBooven, Chris (Sherry) Woolery, Samuel Woolery all of Sedalia and Susan McNeal of Thayer MO; one brother, Frank Woolery; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Rev. Bob Sis officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 also at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, MO.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice in care of the funeral chapel.
