Daniel Earl Loucks age 76 of Sedalia passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 5, 1938 in Sedalia son of Charles H. and Susan Butterbaugh Loucks. He was married on May 9, 1959 in Hamburg, New York to Rosemary Hadrych and she preceded him in death on August 6, 1996.

He served in the Army and Air Force and was a Viet Nam Veteran. After retiring from the military in 1977 with twenty-two years of service he went to work as a brakeman with Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W.. Moose Lodge and Eagles. He enjoyed watching football, westerns and reading.

He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by one daughter; Tina Loucks, two sons; Mike Loucks and James Loucks (Mindy), one brother Charles Homer Loucks, Jr., four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, his companion's children; Brian Randall and Chris Strickland.

He was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters, long time companion; Frances Randall. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 with Rev. Rusty Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Peterson, Ed Farmer, Paul Bennett, Darren Ross, Jeff Lehman and Ty Magmuson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Loucks, James Loucks, Zac Dugan and Mike Blankenship.

Burial will be in the Smithton Cemetery. The family suggest memorials to the American Heart Association. You may leave condolences online at ewingschuttesemlerfh.com
