Daryl “Jim” Kenton Patrick, 91, of Sedalia passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at his home.  He was born on September 15, 1922 in Jerico Springs, MO, a son of Edwin and Della Rae (Hutchison) Patrick, who both preceded him in death.

He was united in marriage to Hannah Faye Bullard, who survives of the home.

Jim served his country honorably in the US Army Air corps during WWII and retired from the USAF Civil Service. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and going to their baseball and basketball games.  He also loved to play golf.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Gary Dean Patrick (Ann) of Lenexa, KS, Sandra Michelle Patrick of Columbia; Kelly Rae Powen of Sedalia and Susan Kay Christian (Darrin) of Sedalia; one sister, Joy Bryant of Sedalia; ten grandchildren, Heather and Hope (who Daryl and Hannah raised from childhood), Michael, Elizabeth, Jacob, Cora, Charlotte, Colin, Dalton and Darby.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Randy Patrick; one sister, Bernice Wing; five brothers, Robert “Gene”, Joseph “Joe”, Billy “Bob”, Edwin “Jerry” and Warren “Dave” Patrick.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Bart Larson officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Mark and Ronnie Otten, Jeff Myler, Kerry and Steve Schroeder and Phillip Yankee.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mid Missouri Humane Society in care of the funeral chapel.
