‘Drive to Feed Kids’ & Missouri FFA To Pack 150,000 Meals For Families In Need
As a part of Missouri Farmers Care Foundation's Drive to Feed Kids, over 800 FFA members and agricultural leaders will join together at the Missouri National Guard Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Aug. 15, for Missouri FFA Day of Service.
Volunteers will pack over 150,000 meals, to feed Missouri children and families in need.
In addition to FFA Day of Service, Tuesday, August 15, is Missouri Farmers Care Food Drive $2 Tuesday at the Missouri State Fair.
Fairgoers can participate by giving a minimum $2 donation to Feeding Missouri or by donating two or more canned food items at the Centennial Gate to receive discounted $2 fair admission.
The Drive to Feed Kids is a collaborative effort of Missouri agriculture to address childhood food insecurity in our state.
Missouri Farmers Care Foundation, in partnership with ADM, Brownfield Ag News, Missouri State Fair, Missouri Department of Agriculture, and Missouri FFA Association, have banded together for a seventh year to address the alarming statistic that one in seven Missouri children regularly face hunger.
Through meal-packing events, gifted food products, hog processing, and monetary donations, the agriculture community provides support to Feeding Missouri, the state's network of food banks. For more information visit www.MOFarmersCare.com/Drive.
