Edwards Man Injured in Benton County Accident

A 71-year-old Edwards man suffered minor injuries this morning as a result of an accident that occurred in Benton County.

At 6:55 a.m. Monday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol received a report of a northbound 2008 Ford Escape driven by Wilbur H. See that had stopped in the roadway to allow an animal to cross the road, when it was struck from behind by a 2011 Chevy truck by 26-year-old Ryan L. Edde of Urbana. The accident happened on Highway 65 just north of Wildcat Road.

See refused treatment at the scene, the report said.

The Escape had extensive damage and was towed from the scene, while the Chevy had minor damage and was driven from the scene.
