Esther M. Clark was born August 14, 1921 in Cole Camp, MO, the daughter of the late Ernest and Minnie Kerr. Esther departed this life February 12, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Esther was married to Leon Clark. This union brought forth two children, Albert Lee Clark, and Kathleen Marie Clark. She was a member of Grissom Temple CME Church, and later became a member of Taylor Chapel.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen Marie Clark; two brothers, Alvin Kerr and Edwin Kerr; one sister, Amy Williams; one cousin, Juanita Fowler-Hunter; and one great-grandson, Jordan Clark.

Esther was employed as a Nanny and later a pediatrics nurse at Bothwell Hospital, retiring after 20 plus years. In her past time she enjoyed her grandkids, fishing, gardening, canning and cooking for church with her sister.

She leaves to mourn a son Albert Lee (Linda), and a sister Hazel Clark. Also she leaves to mourn five grandchildren, Melissa Richie (Rod) formally of the home, Matina Parker (George) of Kansas City, MO, Deborah Clark, of Grand Rapids, MI, Cynthia Clark, of Grand Rapids, MI, and Albert Clark Jr. (Tess), of San Jose, CA. Also in mourning are nine great-grandchildren, Sherrick Clark, Mari Parker, Nikia Clark, Miles Clark, Marquis Clark, Dommnic Clark, Skylaar Clark, Jeromy Clark and Lorenzo Clark; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Casket Attendants will be Howard Dickson Jr., Harrison Frye, Larry Clark, Ernie Clark, Emmanuel Yancy and George Bradford. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
