Pesticide Training

Agricultural commodity producers who need to obtain or renew a privated pesticide applicator license can attend an upcoming training session.If you engage in the application of a restricted-use pesticide for the purposes of producing an agricultural commodity on property you or your employer owns, or rent without compensation other than trading of personal services between producers of agricultural commodities you are considered a private applicator.  In a change from previous years, purchase of a training manual is now required.  Classes will last approximately two hours and are scheduled for February 6th at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m. at 135 West Market, Warrensburg.  Call the Johnson County Extension Center at 660-747-3193 for more information or to register.
