The 47th Annual Loafer's Convention will take place at the Green Ridge Community Building on Saturday, February 24.
The event will be held from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m, with several activities.
A chicken dinner will be served from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Then again from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. The cost is $8.00 per dinner. The menu includes chicken, bread, coffee or tea, and a choice of 3 sides; green beans, cole slaw, potato salad, applesauce, or cottage cheese.
Sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, chili, chips, and desserts will also be served.
Everyone is invited to attend for a day of loafing, playing cards, or the games of your choice (please bring your own cards).
The Green Ridge Chamber of Commerce will host a membership drive and the fire department will take donations.
Free coffee, tea, and peanuts will be served.
