The Atkins 5K will take place in Warrensburg on June 25 at 9 a.m. at the University of Central Missouri, 100 West South Street (South and Holden).
The purpose of the event of to “help raise awareness for the 22 veterans and one active-duty soldier who commit suicide every day, while raising funds for four young children who lost their father to this tragedy,” said Penny Sloan, founder and organizer of the event.
