Christ Gustin Illustrated Lecture

Ceramist Christ Gustin will present an illustrated lecture at 2 p.m. May 3 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the State Fair Community College Sedalia campus followed by a reception until 4 p.m. Both are free and open to the public.

The lecture was rescheduled because of a snowstorm in February.

Gustin’s retrospective exhibition, “Masterworks in Clay,” opened Feb. 1 at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on the SFCC Sedalia campus. The 90-piece exhibition traces Gustin’s evolution as a ceramist during his 40-year career. The exhibit will remain on view through May 25.  Pieces in Gustin’s exhibition range from diminutive tea bowls to sculptural forms measuring up to four feet tall.  Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
