McKenzie, granddaughter of Mike Butterwick, was born on May 13, 2014.  She was born with a form of Congenital Heart Disease called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy as well as Pulmonary Stenosis. At 2 months old she was hospitalized for Failure to Thrive and had a gastronomy tube placed, since then she is 100% tube fed because her heart works to hard to eat and digest normally.

McKenzie's Journey

McKenzie, granddaughter of Mike Butterwick,  was born on May 13, 2014.

She was born with a form of Congenital Heart Disease called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy as well as Pulmonary Stenosis. At 2 months old she was hospitalized for Failure to Thrive and had a gastronomy tube placed, since then she is 100% tube fed because her heart works to hard to eat and digest normally. Most recently McKenzie was hospitalized for Failure to Thrive again, while we were in the hospital she had a Cardiac Catheterization which showed that her heart has gotten severely worse. With her heart condition this is no surgical treatment, she is on medicine to keep her heart rate slow, but that only does so much. McKenzie now at 11 months old is on the Heart Transplant list. We are raising funds now to help cover the future costs of the transplant, hospital stay, travel, and post transplant medications and care. Every dollar helps!   Thank you all so much
