Sedalia Downtown Development, Inc., will host a homemade ice cream contest and social Thursday, July 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the 200 block of South Ohio in Sedalia's historic downtown district.
SDDI will have guest judges for the contest. Judging will determine the best ice cream and the most unique ice cream. The best will receive $100 cash, while the most unique will receive a $50 gift certificate.
The event is part of a monthly SDDI promotion held on the third Thursday in downtown Sedalia.
