State Fair Community College will offer free training Oct. 29 for companies that need to comply by Dec. 1 with revised OSHA requirements for Hazard Communication Standard.

Participants will learn to recognize the new elements of hazardous chemical labels; how that information is related to Safety Data Sheets; and how label information can be used to ensure proper storage of hazardous chemicals.

A morning session will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon and repeated from 1-5 p.m. in the Thompson Conference Center in the Heckart Science and Allied Health Center on the Sedalia campus. The training is open to all company trainers and employees.
