Veterans BBQ Scheduled for Sept. 10

The annual Veteran's Appreciation Barbecue, "A Salute to All Veterans,"  is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10 from 3 to 6 p.m. on the city parking lot at Second and Ohio. The location is a change from previous year's events held at the courthouse.

There will be hamburgers, bratwurst, chips, dessert and soft drinks available for $5 each (children 10 and under are  $3 and Veterans eat for free).

Guest speaker for the occasion will be (Ret) Brig. Gen. Dennis Shull, Missouri Army National Guard, and music will be provided by "The Lee Stover Band," playing gospel and oldies.

Participants are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to the event.
