Xanadu Jr. follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California, on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first Roller Disco. (Hey, it's 1980!)
But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds.
Show runs Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, June 25 at 2 p.m., at the Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W. 5th Street,
Adult tickets are $15 and students are $10 and are available online or call the Liberty Center box office at (660) 827-3228. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
