Four Sedalia 200 school security officers have been certified as School Safety Specialists by the Missouri School Boards Association’s Center for Education Safety.

Adam Schreck, Andrew Beier, Nickolas Keller and Samuel Hargrave recently completed the Basic School Safety Academy and have pledged to follow up with a minimum of eight hours of continuing education training each year to continue to improve their knowledge of school safety resources.

In a news release, Amy Roderick, director of the MSBA Center for Education Safety, wrote: “The ever-changing school environment requires professionals who are committed to learning basics but also staying abreast of the newest trends.  Please congratulate your new School Safety Specialists for being proactive in their professional development and for making this commitment to helping the schools in your district provide the safest learning environment possible.”
