Funeral Announcements for March 20, 2024

Memorial service for Christopher Scott Denker, 42, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at Grace Fellowship Church in Cole Camp. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Memorial service for David William Schlomer, 73, of Houstonia, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at Calvary Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Longwood Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

The family of Don Leo Engelbrecht, 83, of Tipton, will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at First Baptist Church of Tipton, where a celebration of life service will be held at 12.  Family burial will be held at California City Cemetery, with military honors by the U.S. Army and Edgar Cole American Legion Post 304. Arrangements are in care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home.

Memorial service for Rev. Colin Trevor Ward, 76, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20 at Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Dorothy A. Bass, 87, of Sedalia, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia. Visitation will be from 1to 2 p.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery.

Funeral service for Anita L. Bunch, 85, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20 at Heckart Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

Funeral service for  Ruby G. Ellis, 95, of Sedalia, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 25 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A memorial service for Thomas Ray Martin, 67, of Sedalia, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be held in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited for Virginia “Ginnie” Wilhelmenia Luebbering, 85, of Sedalia, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 22, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at St. Patrick Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Sedalia. Burial is in St. John’s Cemetery in Clear Creek.

A graveside service for Laura Ann Griffin, 82, of Sedalia, will be held Thursday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
