Garry A. Eichholz, 73, of Sedalia, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Fair View Nursing Home.

Born February 20, 1942 in Sedalia, he was the son of Kalo K. and Luella (Ditzfeld) Eichholz. On April 18, 1964 in Smithton, he married Kathleen Hoehns, who survives of the home. Also surviving are a son, Kent Eichholz (Brenda) of Sedalia; a daughter, Karen Twenter (Steve) of Sedalia; and two grandchildren, Bryant Twenter and Brett Twenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronald Eichholz, and a sister Joyce McNeal.

Mr. Eichholz was raised and educated in Smithton, and was a 1959 graduate of Smithton High School. He served in the Missouri Army National Guard 128th Field Artillery Unit from 1963 to 1968. He was a member of Maplewood Church, and a past member of the Sedalia Jaycees. He was president of Associated Door Company until his retirement.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the National Ataxia Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
