A Sedalia man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County early this morning.

The accident occurred at 6:35 a.m. on US 50 Highway when a 2003 GMC truck driven by 43-year-old Rominia T. Kirkham, Knob Noster, pulled onto 50 from 801 NE 801 Road and into the path of a westbound 2006 Mercury driven by 26-year-old Leon C. Boles, Sedalia. After impact, the GMC traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The Mercury traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to rest in the ditch, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center – Kirkham by private vehicle, Boles by ambulance. Both were wearing a safety device, the Patrol said. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
