Howard Paul Ball, 80, of Meeker, OK, formerly of Cole Camp, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Meeker Nursing Center in Meeker.  He was born on July 15, 1934, at Pontotoc, Mississippi, a son of Laurel Perry and Mary (Stanford) Ball.

On June 8, 1958, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Peggy Elaine Kettle, who preceded him in death on May 5, 2002.

Howard served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, retiring after 24 years of service.  He later worked as a nursing home administrator in Missouri for 20 years.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by:
his daughter, Linda Faughn and her husband Harold of Jefferson City;
two sons, Richard Ball and his wife Robin of Forsyth and James Ball of Shawnee, OK;
three sisters, Mary, Nell, and Amy; and
two grandchildren,  Luke and Ryan Ball of Shawnee, OK.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Charles, Stanford, John, and Lawrence.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014, at Memorial Cemetery, rural Cole Camp, with Pastor Jason Veale officiating.  Military honors by the American Legion Post No. 305 of Cole Camp.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to American Heart Association in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
