JoCo Sheriff’s Office Seeks ‘Person of Interest’ in Homicide Case

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is working an active homicide investigation in the 200 block of South 13 Highway, Warrensburg.

Two individuals have been pronounced deceased.

“We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the friends and family of those lost during this tragic incident,” the sheriff's office said.

As part of this ongoing investigation, the sheriff's office is actively looking to speak with a person of interest, Jonathan Goodwin Jr., 20, from Warrensburg, in connection with the case. They encourage Goodwin, or anyone with information about his whereabouts, to contact Central Dispatch.

“We assure the public that every resource is being deployed to apprehend the person of interest and to understand the full scope of this incident,” the JoCo Sheriff's Office said late last night.
