John Frederick "Fred" Martin, 75, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, at his home.   He was born April 11, 1937, in Sedalia, son of Everett W. and Edna Ficken Martin. On October 8, 1960, in Harrison, AR, he married Carol Sue Watson, who survives of the home.   Mr. Martin retired from Fingland Glass after 32 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his grandkids and enjoyed hunting, racing and scratchers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1956 to 1961.   In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, John Frederick Martin Jr., and his wife, Cindy, of Gainesville, TX, Jeffrey Hall Martin, of Louisville, KY, and James Bradford Martin, and his wife, Darcy, of Sedalia; seven grandchildren whom he truly cherished, Olivia, John, Jillian, Mitchell, Trevor, Dalton and Hayden Martin; four siblings, Charles Martin, of Cherry Hill, N.J., Ruth Elaine Kerr, of Sedalia, Donna Jean Bruns, of Barnett, MO, and Janice Faye Henson, of Sedalia; and many nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings, Herbert Martin, Robert Martin, Sharon Martin Dial, Mary Martin Kropp and Larry Martin.   Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating.   Casket bearers will be John Martin III, Mitchell Martin, Dalton Martin, Hayden Martin, Trevor Martin, David McCullough, Albert Dial and Steve Henson.   Honorary bearers will be Raymond McCullough, Rick Hunt, Glen Stockstill Jr., Donnie Brown, John Johnson, Doug Miesner and Mitchell Bruns.   Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors by the U.S. Navy and VFW Post 2591.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.   Memorial contributions are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.   Condolences may be offered at www.heckartfuneralhome.com
