John Louis Morrison age 75 of Sedalia passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

He was born on April 4, 1939 in Fortuna, Missouri son of Oland and Irene Ringen Morrison. He was married on February 6, 1959 in Gravois Mills, Missouri to Alice Middleton and she survives of the home. John graduated from Tipton High School. He worked at Town & Country Shoe Factory, Royal Industries and later Waterloo Industries retiring with twenty-eight years of service. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where he was baptized.

A Member of Sedalia Jaycees and served as treasurer. He had a active role in the petition that established State Fair Community College with the help of the Jaycees. He participated in the Jaycees auctions that were televised on channel 6 as a fund raiser for the Jaycees. He was also a Boy Scout Leader.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons; Rick Morrison (Patty) and John D. Morrison both of Sedalia, two daughters; Gail Walker (Elza) of Sedalia, Stacey Lindsey of Columbia, Missouri, one sister; Glorinia Reinke of Gravois Mills, Missouri, two brothers; Dean Morrison (Diane) of Sedalia, Jim Morrison (Charlotte) of Otterville, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, two brother-in-laws; Jerry Paull and Jack Reinke, two nieces; Donna Reinke and Debra Morrison, one son-in-law; Jerry Tomlinson.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Foster officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until service time on Saturday. Friends may call from 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. Wednesday through Friday and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
