Kathryn Lee Allen, 83, of Sedalia, Missouri, died Friday morning, March 4, 2016 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center, in Sedalia, Missouri. She was born October 7, 1932, in Sedalia, Missouri; daughter of Roy Lee and Opal Mae Wickliffe Wade. On September 18, 1951, in Knob Noster, Missouri; she married Buddy D. Allen who died in August 2009.

Mrs. Allen was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She loved to travel and going to TOPPS. She had worked for Lamy Manufacturing and then for Interstate Studio before she retired. The joy of her life was her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. Survivors include four sons, Ricky Allen and wife Janet, of Oxford, Michigan; Jerry Allen and wife Carol, Sedalia, Missouri; Johnny Allen, Warsaw, Missouri; Jeffery Allen and wife Virginia, Sedalia, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua, Jason, Kathryn Ann, Johnny Jr., Kristen, Kimberly, Stephanie, Kaitlyn, Kassy and J.R. and eight great grandchildren, Piper, Nicole, Kylie, Tyler, Devin, Nick, Dallas and KayLynn.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Kay Hoffman, two brothers, Melvin Wade, Gary Wade; two sisters, Naomi Thompson and Ellen Twyman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Ewing Schutte Semler Funeral Home with Minister Ricky Allen officiating.

Burial will be in the Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Allen, Johnny Allen, Jr., Jason Allen, J.R. Allen, Aaron Lackman and Chris Lu Allen. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ewing Schutte Semler Funeral Home. The family suggest contributions to the Recovery Prison Ministries. There will also be a Celebration of Life Monday evening March 14, 2016 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in cooperation with Celebrate Recovery.
