State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners softball head coach Lyndsey Talbot has announced the addition of four student-athletes to the 2017 roster.

“Each of these players brings different strengths to the team,” said Talbot. “This group has a great work ethic, and they are ready to put in the work to elevate our softball program.”
Macy Buzzanga is a pitcher who played at Knob Noster High School and who batted .400 as a senior. She played for head coach Mark Carey and has signed an Athletic Aid Letter of Intent.

Buzzanga was named second-team All-Conference three times and honorable mention one time. She was named first-team All-District once and second-team All-District twice. She earned All-Region honors twice and earned Academic All-Conference all four years of high school.

“Macy is a control pitcher who can develop a strong arm that we will rely on in the circle,” said Talbot.

Taylor Farmer is an outfielder/third baseman who played at Clever High School for head coach Cheryl Grant. She has signed a Non-Athletic Aid Letter of Intent.

As a freshman, Farmer was named second-team All-Conference. After her sophomore year, she was named to the second-team All-Conference and second-team All-District. Farmer was named first-team All-Conference and first-team All-District as a junior. She also was named first-team All-Region and second-team All-State.

“Taylor is an experienced competitor who knows softball,” said Talbot. “She has done a great job for her high school. We are excited to see what she can do at the college level.”
Victoria McCloud is an outfielder who played softball at Houston High School for head coach Brent Hall. She batted .427 as a senior and signed a Non-Athletic Aid Letter of Intent.

McCloud earned honorable mention All-Conference honors as a sophomore. She earned All-Conference and All-District honors as a junior and senior. McCloud achieved high distinction honor roll and earned Academic All-State honors.

“Victoria is a speedy player who will add depth to our outfield and lineup,” said Talbot.
Emily Wilson is an infielder/outfielder who played softball for head coach Terry Parker at Oak Grove High School and has signed an Athletic Aid Letter of Intent.

Wilson was named an Academic All-Conference player four times, an All-Area designated player and an Academic All-State player.

“Emily is a competitor who understands the game,” said Talbot. “She will be a strong player on the infield."

All four student-athletes will start at SFCC next fall.
