Man Alleges Girlfriend Set Him on Fire in Kansas City

Authorities are investigating a report that a woman set her boyfriend on fire at a Kansas City house.

The Kansas City Star reports that officers responded Monday to an assault report and found the man suffering from burns to his face and shoulders. The man told police that his girlfriend had poured gasoline on him and set him ablaze. Police confirmed he was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

Police have arrested the woman near where the man was burned. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
