Marjorie Irene Kissling, 87, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Research Vitas in Kansas City.  She was born August 29, 1925 in Pittsville, Missouri a daughter of Lloyd Jeff and Annie Amelia (Rowland) Turnbow.  She grew up in the Pittsville community and lived in Independence, Missouri most of her life.  The past fourteen years she made her home in Kansas City.  Marjorie earned a teaching certification and taught school in rural Holden, Missouri, and in Earlville, Illinois.   She worked at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Kansas City during the war years and later as a sales clerk and cashier for Halls Drug Store in Independence and for the Jones Store in Kansas City.  Marjorie joined the Elm Spring Baptist church in the Elm Community at an early age, and recently had attended Pleasant Grove Bible Church in Independence.      Surviving her passing are one son, Steve Bailey, Sandwich, IL; three daughters, Marsha Warner, Blue Springs, MO, Peggy Foutz, Bend, OR, and Karla Williams, Concord, NC; a sister, Leota Benson, Waterman, IL; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICES – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Elm Spring Baptist Church, Kingsville, MO, under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, MO.
