North Carolina authorities say a Missouri man wanted on charges of kidnapping his son three years ago has been arrested.

A news release from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Corey Hotsenpiller was arrested Saturday at a home in Fayetteville. Authorities say the U.S. Marshal's Service received a tip that Hotsenpiller was living in the home.

The 5-year-old child was 2 years old when he was abducted in 2013. The Department of Social Services will care for him until his legal guardian takes custody.

Authorities say Hotsenpiller is being held in the Cumberland County Jail with no bond for the out-of-state warrant.

They say he'll be charged as a fugitive from justice and will have a hearing Monday or later in the week. It wasn't clear Sunday if he has an attorney.
