Sophomore guard/forward Catie Kaifes knocked down a deep three-point shot to trim the Moberly advantage to 14-11 at the end of the first quarter, but Moberly took a 30-27 lead at halftime.

SFCC had the lead early in the third quarter before Moberly grabbed it back 39-35. Moberly outscored the Lady Roadrunners 28-16 to emerge with the victory.

"We don't have enough players to matchup with the depth that Moberly has," said head coach Kevin Bucher. "We didn't do things to finish the ballgame. We needed to box-out and rebound … we just have to keep improving."

Kaifes recorded a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds, leading the team in both categories. Freshman guard Jazzmyn Elston contributed 10 points. Sophomore guard Ren'Cia Rolling dished out a team-high six assists. Sophomore guard Maya Brewer led the team in steals with two. Rolling and sophomore center Grace Morrow tied for the team lead in blocked shots with two.

SFCC will host Crowder College at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 in another key Region 16 contest in the Davis Center.
