Sedalia Police arrest 2-Sedalia men on drug charges Monday evening

At 5:10 Monday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the church parking lot in the 600 block of East 16th., on two-suspects possibly using drugs, and fighting in a vehicle. Upon arrival the officers reportedly surprised the suspects, who were said to be frantically trying to hide syringes, and baggies. Arrested at the scene was 34-year-old Andy Schultz, and 43-year-old Clint J. Lambert both of Sedalia at the time of the police report both suspects were on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County jail pending drug related charges.

Assault call leads to arrest on a fugitive from justice charge for a Sedalia man

Around 7:39 Monday night Sedalia Police investigated a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of West 11th. Upon arrival a female victim with minor injuries told the officers her boyfriend had assaulted her. The officers located and arrested 38-year-old Louis B. Moreno and transported him to the Pettis County jail. A check on Moreno revealed he was a fugitive out of the state of Kansas. At the time of the police report Moreno was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail on charges of 3rd degree domestic assault, and fugitive from out of state.

Man arrested in Hubbard Park for possession of drugs and paraphernalia

At 2:18 Tuesday morning Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle check at Hubbard Park. Upon arrival they found 47-year-old Robert L Morrison Jr. asleep in his vehicle. Following an investigation and a search Morrison was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Morrison was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of possession of dangerous non-narcotic drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bings East reports thieves damaged a soda machine and stole its products

Just before 7am Monday morning Sedalia Police took a theft and property damage complaint from a complainant at Bings Supermarket on East Broadway. Upon arrival the complainant reported thieves had forced entry to a soda machine and stole its $280 worth of products. The thieves also caused $500 in damages to the machine. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Parkview Elementary  School reports a burglary Monday

According to a Sedalia Police theft report, Parkview Elementary School reported one of the sheds on the school’s property was entered by force, and a Troybilt Weed Eater valued at $150, and a Leaf Blower valued at $50 were stolen. There were no suspects at the time of the police report..
