INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The sixth-ranked Mules Golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the rain-shortened Brickyard Crossing Intercollegiate at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Club on Tuesday. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes when Monday's second round was rained out.

The Mules shot a five-over par 293 in the second round to finish at 19-over par, 595 for the tournament. Central Oklahoma claimed the team title with a two-over par 578. Missouri-St. Louis was second at eight-over par with West Florida (+12) third and defending national champion Barry (+14) tied for fourth with Grand Valley State.

Individually, Teddy Jones was Central Missouri's highest placer, finishing in 13th place at two-over par 146. Travis Mays finished in a tie for 22nd at five-over par, while Cy Moritz and Alex Springer tied for 24th at six-over. Sam Migdal finished at 14-over and in a tie for 58th place.

Jack Rider of Grand Valley State took home individual medalist honors with a four-under par 140. He shot a four-under 68 in the final round. Corey Knight of Missouri Western, Chandler Blanchet and Juan Miguel Heredia of West Florida, Logan Gray and Russ Purser of Central Oklahoma, and Anthony Cope of Missouri-St. Louis all finished in a tie for second at one-under par.

The Mules are back in action next Monday and Tuesday in the next MIAA-sanctioned event, the Northeastern State Classic at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville, Okla.
