Sedalia 1949-2012 Henry Cornelius Cortez Jackson, Jr., 63, of Sedalia, died on Monday, August 13, 2012 at his home.

He was born July 9, 1949 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Oliver and Dorthey Burris Jackson.

Henry was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather. He loved his children and grandchildren.

Henry was an Sanitation Operator #2 for the City of Sedalia. He was proud of the 38 years he worked with the city and his co-workers. He was looking forward to retirement and enjoying his time with family and friends.

Henry enjoyed painting, especially ceramic statues. He loved MOTown music, watching Westerns, wrestling, old classic movies.

Henry is survived by four children, Brandiss Jackson of Sedalia, Crystal Seabury of Kansas City, Melissa Briscoe of Centerview and Henry Jackson, III of Wichita, Kansas; 7 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ollie Jackson and Roy Jackson and his girlfriend Rhonda Morrison.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin, Edward "Nat" Newbill.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Monday, August 20, 2012 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Elvis Durrill officiating.

Henry's family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM, Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
