One Arrested in Moniteau County on Drug Charges

A 23-year old resident of Hartsburg, MO was recently arrested in Moniteau County on drug charges.

The Moniteau County Sheriff's Department says on July 30, deputies were called to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on Highway 50 east of California, MO.

The Patrol had stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation and requested a K-9 unit from Moniteau County.

The K-9 unit reportedly gave a positive alert for the presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, 23-year old Holynn D. Jeffery, was arrested by the Patrol and taken to the Moniteau County Jail with no bond.
