Three men were injured Wednesday morning in a car wreck that occurred on MO-23 in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 10:25, on MO-23 just north of NE 700 Road.

According to the online crash report, a northbound 2012 Mini Cooper traveled off the right side of the road, then over-corrected and traveled off the left side of the road. The car then struck an embankment and came to rest.

Two passengers in the Mini Cooper were injured; 28-year old Travis A. Clark, of Whiteman Air Force Base, was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, by JCAD, for the treatment of serious injuries. Another passenger, 34-year old James B. Collins, of Knob Noster, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Hospital, by JCAD, for treatment.

The driver, 27-year old Sean M. Lanham, of Lee's Summit, suffered minor injuries in the wreck. According to the report, he declined medical treatment at the scene. However, Lanham was arrested for DWI, Careless and Imprudent Driving, and Failing to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway.

The report indicates the Mini Cooper was totaled.
