Opal L. Zimmerschied, 94

Opal L. Zimmerschied, 94, of Lincoln, Missouri formerly of Sedalia, died Saturday morning January 31, 2015 at the Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln, Missouri.

She was born February 14, 1920, in Florence, Missouri; daughter of Earnest and Mary Semkin Oehrke. On April 27, 1942 in Florence, Missouri; she married Edgar E. Zimmerschied who died July 27, 2010.

Mrs. Zimmerschied was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sedalia and was a Piano Teacher.

Survivors include a daughter Mary Ann Richwine and husband Jim, Nixa, Missouri; two grand children, Jami Blackwell and husband Paul, Springfield, Missouri; Kim Cunningham and husband Adam, Nixa Missouri and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Zimmerschied and brother Earl Oehrke. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday February 5, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center with the Rev. Jim Downing Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center.

Pallbearers will be Paul Blackwell, Adam Cunningham, Shannon Montgomery, Greg Harrell, Frank Perez and Francis Ream. The family suggests contributions to the Lincoln Community Care Center or to the First United Methodist Church. Funeral Services are under the direction of Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
