Preston Lee Hensley, 73, of Knob Noster, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home.  He was born on May 5, 1939, on the family farm in Polk County, Missouri, a son of Wilbur and Pauline (EuLiss) Hensley.   He grew up near Morrisville, where he attended high school.  In 1948, he was baptized at Enon Baptist Church near Morrisville.   On September 25, 1992, in Las Vegas, NV, he was united in marriage to Jeanie Bates, who survives of the home.  This union was blessed with the gift of three children:  Shane, Kayla, and Kyle.   He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, Blue Springs.  In the mid 70's and early 80's, he was an auctioneer for several auction barns in the Bolivar and Springfield area.  In1991, he moved from Oklahoma City to Pleasant Hill, before settling in Knob Noster in 2000.  He worked as an auto body repairman most of his life, retiring in 2001 from Dick Smith Ford in Raytown.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching his boys play baseball, and watching the Kansas City Royals.   Besides his wife, he is survived by: three daughters, Kayla M. Horsman and Matt of Knob Noster, Mary Frances Warner of Crowley, TX, and Mary Jo McGregor of Clever; two sons, Shane L. Hensley and Jennifer of Blue Springs and Kyle D. Hensley of the home; one sister-in-law, Francis Hensley of Bolivar; and six grandchildren, Amanda, Jeffrey, Kayla, Macy, Abby, and Brayden.   He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, James Hensley.   Private memorial services will be held at a later date.   Arrangements are under the direction of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
