Robert Albert Werner, 88, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.   He was born May 13, 1924, in rural Hoisington, Kansas, son of John Baptist and Regina Philomena Schmidt Werner.   On August 28, 1948, in Osborne County, Kansas, he married Delores June Leuenberger, who died March 1, 1970.   On May 8, 1977, in Sedalia, he married Yvonne Jeanette Helvig Jaeger, who survives of the home.   Mr. Werner retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the American Legion in Otterville and the VFW. He enjoyed dancing and could fix just about anything. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.   In addition to his wife, Yvonne, surviving are two sons, Robert Werner Jr. and David Werner, both of Sedalia; two step-daughters, Gayleen Johnson, of Greeley, CO, and Becky Wimann, of Wisconsin; two grandchildren, James and Jason; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha and Jesse; five step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and siblings, John Werner and Anthony Werner, both of Great Bend, KS, Loretta Rutherford, of Wichita, KS, Irene Werner, of Phoenix, AZ, Frances Prosser and Anna Klug, both of Odin, KS, Margaret Werner, of Denville, N.J., and Mary Gilliam, of Sturgis, KY.   In addition to his parents and wife, Delores, he was preceded in death by a son, Harold "Bruce" Werner; a stepdaughter, Vicki Spragg; and siblings, Raymond Werner, Theresa Miller and Rudolph Werner.   Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, with Pastor Chris Kellogg and Pastor Andrew Tessone officiating.   Casket bearers will be Jeff Wimann, John Johnson, Jacob Carroll, Karl Jaeger, Eric Jaeger and Eugene Jaeger.   Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens, with military honors by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 2591.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.   Memorial contributions are suggested to Our Savior Lutheran Church radio ministry.   Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
