Rosemary H. Nolan, 80, of Sedalia passed away, Friday, August 9, 2013 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.  She was born on April 10, 1933, in Newman, IL, a daughter of Leonard and Helen (Wheeler) Hance, who preceded her in death.

Rosemary served her country honorably in the Navy for 25 years.  During those years she was stationed at numerous bases across the country and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer, before retiring and settling here in Sedalia.  She loved the outdoors, and for many years was a member of the Ozark Winnies Camping Club and enjoyed traveling to camp-outs with her friends.  She also enjoyed the group bus tours sponsored by a local bank and took part in many activities and tours.  Rosemary enjoyed reading and was also an accomplished organist and spent many happy hours at the keyboard.

She is survived by two nieces, Sandy Donelin of Jefferson City and Shirley (Bill) East of IL; two nephews, Paul Hance of Lincoln and Robert (Pacie) Trimble of IL; and her longtime companion Betty Lou Deno of the home; many friends and great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded her in death one sister and two brothers.

Rosemary was cremated and the remains will be interred in Newman, IL.

A memorial service and balloon release will be held, Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Liberty Park Rose Garden at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Sedalia Symphony in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
