Volunteer bell ringers are needed for this year's Christmas season by the Sedalia Salvation Army.

Groups and individuals are invited to sign up for a shift at one of three locations starting Black Friday, Nov. 24 through Dec. 23.

Call the Salvation Army at 826-1525 or message them on facebook to ring bells at the Sedalia Walmart, JCPenney and West Woods. You may also sign up at RegisterToRing.com

Volunteering to ring a bell for two hours can help feed a family in need for a week.

All funds raised stay in Pettis County, according to Magen Hudson, director of the service center at 1200 East Broadway.

Bell ringers will be at WalMart from 10 a.m., to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at JCPenney from 10 a.m., to 7 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m., to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at West Woods.

Donations are needed for food boxes, hygiene supplies, financial assistance, thrift store, vouchers, toys & food for those in need in Pettis County, Hudson noted.
