Two Sedalia residents were arrested on October 3 following a traffic stop during which police say methamphetamine was discovered. According to Sedalia Police, a passenger in the vehicle gave false identifying information. 18-year-old Jadah Palmer was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and 28-year-old Levi Grant Markes was taken into custody on an identity theft charge, and an outstanding warrant from Knob Noster. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.


Sedalia Police say a man from Rapids City, SD was arrested after a pursuit on October 3 that ended with a suspect vehicle jumping a curb at the parking lot of the Budget Inn on S. Limit. The driver then reportedly got out of the vehicle and attempted to flee. Police apprehended 51-year-old Christopher E. Campbell. Numerous charges, including DWI and resisting arrest are being requested.


On October 4, Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to McFarland Rd. in Pettis County in reference to a report of stolen farm equipment. A Kabota 4 x 4 diesel was reportedly stolen from a barn. An investigation is underway.


A 47-year-old Marshall woman was taken into custody on charges including felony resisting arrest by fleeing, speeding, and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Marcy E. Hong was arrested just before 2 a.m. on October 3 and was transported to the Saline County Jail.
