The Sedalia Area Tourism Commission (SATC) met for its annual meeting Wednesday at the Katy Depot, 600 E. 3rd.

During a financial summary report, it was noted that the SATC has a total of $597,957.88 in its bank account. Year-to-date totals for lodging tax receipts amounted to $370,0296.39, with delinquent payments still expected to be paid for the months of March and June through December, according to the meeting minutes.

Allocations for 2018 requests for funding that were not utilized totaled roughly $39,000.

During the meeting, Chuck Kempton was elected Chair, while David Dick was elected Vice Chair, and Erica Eisenmenger was elected Treasurer.

It was noted that the City of Sedalia is taking action to adjust the City Business License annual renewal procedure. The bulk of the change will require that lodging taxes, penalties and interest must be paid in full prior to being issued a city license. The Pettis County Collector's Office will be responsible in issuing such receipts. An online option is also being discussed.

Finally, the CVB Visitor Services Agreement between the SATC, Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Sedalia Heritage Foundation was approved as funded in the CVB 2019 Request For Funding.

The agreement assigns day-to-day management responsibilities of the SATC to the Sedalia Heritage Foundation liaison.

The SATC meets again in October.
