Sedalia City Council met in special session Friday at 12:30 in the Council Chambers with one item for consideration under Public Works.

Council granted Nucor Steel of Sedalia a license to perform grading work on a rail spur on land that the City owns, according to Public Works Chairman Tom Oldham.

The work is being done in anticipation of a rail spur expansion in the future.

Committee Co-chair and Second Ward Councilman Chris Marshall was absent from Friday's brief meeting. Council meets again in regular session April 15. The public is invited to attend.
