A 23-year-old Sedalia man wanted by detectives as a suspect in a forgery and theft case was arrested on February 28. Jamaine J. Davis was located by police who were on a routine patrol, and was taken to the Sedalia Police Department for questioning. Davis was released after being interviewed by detectives.

Two Sedalia residents were arrested following a traffic stop on February 28 in the area of 1st and State Fair. Police say the driver, 22-year-old Joshua Ryan Phillips, was arrested for driving while suspended, while a passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Kayla Marie Prall, told police that she had drugs in her purse and handed over a small bag of methamphetamine. Both Phillips and Prall were taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 900 block of W. 7th Street to investigate a burglary just before 7 p.m. on March 1. A resident told police that on several different occasions, someone had taken items from the residence and damaged the back door. The resident named a potential suspect, but officers had not yet made contact with that suspect at the time of their police report.

On March 1, the Pettis County Sheriff's Office received a report from 29-year-old Leslie Bartlett of Sedalia who claimed that her husband had violated an ex parte order of protection. An investigation is ongoing.
