The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Crime Reports are from the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013.

Property Damage and Thefts Reported

A woman in the 1800 Block of East 6th reported to Sedalia Police that someone damaged a total of seven tires on two of the victim's vehicles, causing between $1400 and $1800 in damages.

A man in the 1200 Block of South Stewart reported to Sedalia Police that someone slashed his tires, valued at $150, between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 22 and 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 23.

Employees of the Sedalia Youth Center at 420 West 16th reported to Sedalia Police that someone damaged a 36 x 80-inch single pane glass door valued at $300 on the west side of the building between 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 25.

A woman reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole her $4000 diamond ring and $15 in cash while at work at Tyson's on Friday (Aug. 23).

A woman in the 500 Block of East 4th reported to Sedalia Police that someone forced entry into her home and stole several items between Aug. 12 and Aug. 22.

A preacher turned in a bag full of drug paraphernalia that was given to him. Sedalia Police found no drugs in the bag and the items were destroyed and discarded.

Woman Reports Being Bit By a Dog On Katy Trail

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she was walking in the Katy Trail and stopped at the Katy Depot on 3rd Street to get a drink of water. The woman reported to Sedalia Police that she was bit by a small black dog.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Alicia McGinnis for failure to appear out of Jackson County-Lee's Summit, bond set at $3,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Christopher Granich for expired vehicle registration, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and no proof of insurance.

Sedalia Police arrested Carl Hartley for domestic assault in the 2nd.
